Ayodhya verdict after Sixty years today 3 PM

Ayodhya verdict: Allahabad High Court judgement after 3 pm todayRead more at:

New Delhi / Lucknow: Sixty years after it first went to court, there shall be a verdict in the Ayodhya title suit today afternoon. The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court is expected to deliver its verdict after 3 pm.

It has been a protracted legal battle, and people across the country have spoken in one voice on the need to maintain peace and harmony irrespective of the verdict. (Watch - India united for peace: Appeals for calm)

The verdict in the Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute will decide whether the 2.7 acres of disputed land on which the Babri Masjid stood before it was demolished on December 6, 1992, belongs to the Sunni Central Waqf Board or to the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha.

The verdict to be delivered in Lucknow today considers a dispute over 2.7 acres of land in Ayodhya.

The dispute was first taken to court 60 years ago

There are four title suits that ask the court to decide on:

- ownership of the land

- whether there was a temple at the site before 1538

- did the idols of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman exist inside the mosque, or were the idols placed inside on 22 December, 1949?

There was communal tension when an idol of Lord Ram was found inside in December 1949, and the government confiscated the site. That is when the lawsuits began.

The Ramjanmabhoomi Trust holds that this land is the birthplace of Lord Ram

The Waqf Board holds that the land was site of the 16th century Babri mosque

In December 1992, thousands of kar sevaks, led by BJP and RSS leaders, demolished the Babri Masjid.

The litigants involved with the four suits being considered today are the following. All these cases were originally filed in the court of the Civil Judge, Faizabad, and are now before the High Court. (Ayodhya verdict: Legal issues at stake)

Gopal Singh Visharad - case filed on January 16, 1950. Gopal Singh Visharad has since died and his son Rajendra Singh is now the litigant.

Relief claimed:

- That Hindu's be entitled to go to visit the dispute site and worship the idols there without any checks or obstructions.

- Prohibitory orders must be issued preventing anyone from removing the idols and closing the doors of the masjid.

Nirmohi Akhada - case filed on December 17, 1959. The case was filed by the Akhada through Mahant Ragunath Das, who is now dead.

Relief claimed:

- To give the management of the disputed site to the descendents of Mahant Ragunath Das, the Mahant of the Nirmohi Akhada.

Sunni Central Board of Waqfs, UP - case filed on December 18, 1961 by the Central Board of Waqfs, UP, through secretary and nine others.

Relief claimed:

- That the disputed site must be declared as a mosque and the area adjoining as a Muslim graveyard.

- That possession be given to the central board of waqfs.

On behalf of deity Lord Ram and Deoki Nandan Agarwal - case filed on July 1, 1989. Deoki Nandan Agarwal is a senior advocate and a retired judge of the Allahabad High Court.

Relief Claimed:

- That the disputed structure belongs to the deity Lord Ram.

- Injunction against the Waqf board preventing them from interfering in the building of the temple.

- Demolishing the existing structure of the Babri Masjid. (This was filed before the demolition of the Babri mosque in 1992)

Security measures:

Across the country, it has been life as usual today, including in Faizabad and Ayodhya, where schools and colleges are also open.

The Centre and the state governments, however, are taking no chances and so security has been tightened in sensitive areas and forces have been mobilised. All political parties and religious groups associated with the dispute have said they will respect the verdict.

There is strict vigil in Faizabad. More than 20,000 securitymen are on alert and there is arrangement for aerial surveys. (Watch: Life in Lucknow, Faizabad normal) I (Mayawati: Centre didn't give enough forces)

1,90,000 security personnel in Uttar Pradesh

19 places have been identified as "sensitive."

Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh have been identified as trouble-prone.

Central forces would be 10 minutes away and on call with extensive deployment near sensitive spots.

India Air Force aircraft would be on standby to transport troops to eight places across the country.

Ban on bulk SMSes continues.

No pillion riders and parking not allowed near restricted sites in Delhi, Hyderabad.

How the first super-massive black holes were born

This undated image released by NASA shows young star HD 61005, dubbed "The Moth." Its shape is produced by starlight scattering off dust and is giving astronomers new insight into the formation and evolution of planetary systems. This is not your typical flying insect. It has a wingspan of about 22 billion miles. The Hubble image was taken with the Near-Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer (NICMOS). The black disk in the center of the image is a coronagraphic hole in the NICMOS camera that blocks out most of the central star's light so that astronomers can see details in the surrounding dust disk. (AP Photo/NASA)

This artists rendering provided by NASA shows dusty grains -- including tiny specks of the minerals found in the gemstones peridot, sapphires, and rubies -- that can be seen blowing in the winds of a quasar, or active black hole. The quasar is at the center of a distant galaxy. Astronomers using NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope found evidence that such quasar winds might have forged these dusty particles in the very early universe. The findings are another clue in an ongoing cosmic mystery: where did all the dust in our young universe come from? (AP Photo/NASA) This image released by NASA Wednesday April 19, 2006 shows a visualization of what Einstein envisioned. Researchers crunched Einstein's theory of general relativity on the Columbia supercomputer at the NASA Ames Research Center to create a three-dimensional simulation of merging black holes. This was the largest astrophysical calculation ever performed on a NASA supercomputer. The simulation provides the foundation to explore the universe in an entirely new way, through the detection of gravitational waves. (AP Photo/NASA)

This artist's depiction, provided by NASA, demonstrates what scientists believe is happening very close to the Sagittarius A* black hole in the Milky Way. The supermassive black hole is surrounded by a disk of gas (yellow and red). Massive stars, shown in blue, have formed in this disk, while small disks represent where stars are still forming. Results from the Chandra X-ray Observatory show that stars have formed locally in this disk, rather than being deposited there by a star cluster. The mysterious black hole has helped give birth to a new generation of stars, new observations suggest. (AP Photo/NASA, CXC, M. Weiss)

This image provided by NASA Tuesday Nov. 11, 2009 shows observations from the Hubble Space Telescope, the Spitzer Space Telescope, and the Chandra X-ray Observatory in a collaboration to produce an unprecedented image of the central region of our Milky Way galaxy using infrared light and X-ray light to see through the obscuring dust and reveal the intense activity near the galactic core.
This image provided by NASA this July 23, 2009 is a photo made by the Spitzer Space Telescope of the galaxy, called NGC-1097, is located 50 million light-years away. It is spiral-shaped like our Milky Way, with long, spindly arms of stars. The "eye" at the center of the galaxy is actually a monstrous black hole surrounded by a ring of stars. In this color-coded infrared view from Spitzer, the area around the invisible black hole is blue and the ring of stars, white. The black hole is huge, about 100 million times the mass of our sun, and is feeding off gas and dust along with the occasional unlucky star.

Photo released by NASA Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002 showing medium-size black holes, according to the latest findings from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, but scientists had to look in some unexpected places to find them. The previously undiscovered black holes provide an important link that sheds light on the way in which black holes grow. Even more odd, these new black holes were found in the cores of glittering, "beehive" swarms of stars called globular star clusters, which orbit our Milky Way and other galaxies. The black hole in globular cluster M15 ,left, is 4,000 times more massive than our Sun. G1 ,right, a much larger globular cluster, harbors a heftier black hole, about 20,000 times more massive than our Sun. (AP Photo/NASA)

The supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy is located inside a bright white path in the center of the image. The colors indicate X-ray energy bands in red (low), green (medium), and blue (high). (AP Photo/NASA,D.Wang, U.Mass)

This undated handout artist rendering provided by the European Southern Observatory/L.Calcada, shows uncovered the most powerful pair of jets ever seen from a stellar black hole. This object, also known as a microquasar, blows a huge bubble of hot gas, 1000 light-years across, twice as large and tens of times more powerful than other known microquasars. Scientists at the European Southern Observatory spied a pair of gigantic bubbles of hot gas coming from a stellar black hole, about 12 million light years from Earth, as pictured in this artist's rendering from the observatory. The bubbles are the most powerful microquasars seen by astronomers, according to a study published Wednesday in the journal Nature. (AP Photo/European Southern Observatory/L.Calcada)

More Fearful Than 2012

This page might seem a bit off topic.... but you have to think about it sometime. WHY?......
It may not be in 2012 - but you WILL
die!
What happens next
Will be more fearful than any 2012 predictions...
For SOME people.
Will YOU be one of them?
IF YOU'RE A CHRISTIAN,
IF NOT, KEEP READING...

Whether you die in 2012 through some world wide destroying event or whether you die in your sleep tonight or get run over by a car tomorrow, you will still die. While everyone should do their part to "save the world" and while we should take legitimate threats to the earth seriously, it is far more important to be concerned about what happens next - after you die.
There are prophecies in the Bible which say that after you die, you face judgement before God who alone is holy. The Bible says, "It is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement" (Hebrews 9:27). What if this was true? Would you gamble with your soul that these prophecies are not true? Consider the eternal consequences of being wrong. Imagine standing (if you were able to stand) before the creator of the universe, knowing that he is about to judge you as worthy of

What is more fearful than 2012 doomsday predictions?
Answer: Standing before God, without your sins forgiven.
"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."(Hebrews 10:31)

What is more fearful than 2012 doomsday predictions?
Answer: Being judged and found guilty by God.
“I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!" (the words of Jesus from the gospel of Luke chapter 12, verses 4-5, in the Bible)

The Video below is WARNING!It is here because we genuinely care about your eternal destiny - after you die. Please note that no video can truly portray how terrifying hell will be.
"Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men..." (2 Corinthians 5:11)
You might be thinking, "I thought God was a God of love!" That's true, but he is also a God of justice and he has set aside a day of justice where the wicked will come before him, before being cast into everlasting hell. You canNot avoid death, but you can avoid hell. To see if you deserve hell and find out how to escape it, click the "GOOD PERSON?" button below the video.

Nibiru 2012 - Planet X 2012

Nibiru is the name given by some to planet X. Planet X 2012 and the end of the world are connected by those who believe that planet X exists beyond pluto and is on a collision course with earth. They expect Planet X will either hit us or it will be a near miss.
The following article was put together by Chris White. Any emphasis (underlines, italics, bold etc.) is from the webmaster and not Chris White. As this is a transcript from his video presentation about Planet X Nibiru (galactic alignment etc), you will come across some references to the video below.
ARTICLE CONTRIBUTED BY CHRIS WHITE
2012 theories are a lot like snowflakes. No two are alike. There are a multitude of reasons as to why there is so much disagreement amongst theorists and researchers regarding events purportedly to happen in 2012, and more specifically, why they believe these events are going to happen.
Galactic Alignment
Let us first examine what may likely be the most common 2012 theory, which claims that on December 21, 2012 there will be some form of mystical astronomical alignment with the center of our galaxy.
There are two main versions of this part of the theory,
1). the first of which states that the alignment occur when the sun rises above the horizon on December 21st 2012 (the winter solstice) at which point the sun will rise in the middle of the milky way, thus causing an alignment between the earth sun and the galactic సెంటర్
This does appear accurate and can be verified this with an astronomy program. However, there are at least two problems with this concept, the first of which is that this event is only significant from the earth’s point of view.
The precession cycle or the 26,000 year wobble of the earth only causes the EFFECT of the stars changing position on the horizon. The visual effect only occurs from the earth’s perspective, so that if you were viewing this “precession” from anywhere else in the solar system it would be completely insignificant and uneventful.
There is no gravitational force or radiation to be expected from this event because other than the tilt of the earth, nothing will be any different than the last few thousand solstices and as such, the Earth will be no closer to the galactic center than any other day.
If the Mayans did in fact point to this event with their calendar (which we will look into later) it should be noted how the overall event is harmless and seemingly insignificant beyond its role in time keeping and/or for religious purposes. But there is no reason to believe it will be an event of a magnitude so great that there will be a pole shift or any other cataclysms, as in reality it is a visual illusion and not an “Earth changing” event of any true physical power.
Another issue with the December 21, 2012 date is that because the precession is so slow there is almost no difference between say, December 21, 2008 and , and December 21, 2012. This is because technically, the sun will “rise in galactic center” for this year’s winter solstice, just as it will in 2012.
In fact here is a quote from John Major Jenkins one of the major proponents of the 2012 theories from a part of his website called “Response to Counter arguments ” he says:“In the interest of clarity, I will mention that it would be more accurate to say that the alignment occurs in the ERA of A.D. 2012; because precession is such a slow phenomenon, fifty years on either side of 2012 might be appropriate.” by John Major Jenkins
2). The second camp of belief surrounding the 2012 alignment issue is probably the more significant of the two because it is dealing with the solar system’s actual location in relation to galactic center. This is the idea that our little solar system is moving around the center of the galaxy every 225 years or so million years or so, and while doing so it is moving up and down in a cycle crossing the plane every 33 million years.
So are we going to cross that galactic plane in 2012?
Absolutely not! According to the journal Nature, as well as many others, there is evidence of crossing this plane 3 million years ago. This would mean that we are moving away from the galactic plane and won’t be due to cross it for another 30 million years and that’s failing to mention that the margin of error in these calculations in at least 2.1 parsecs or about 6.5 light years making images like these and statements like this: completely meaningless.
What about a Pole Shift?
Although many theorists disagree on whether this pole shift will be magnetic or a physical shifting of the crust of the earth the reason for this happening in or around 2012 is usually cited as one of the following:
- Planetary alignment- Planet X or Nibiru and its comets tail- A tremendous sun flare- An asteroid
Planetary alignment
The first one is easy enough, there is no planetary alignment on December 21st 2012, this is what the planets will look like on that date. There is a link on the screen to an online program that you can check for yourself too [ NOTE: As you are reading a transcript (words only) from Chris White's video presentation, you do not see here the actual December 21, 2012 image of what the planets will look like. This is only in the video - go to the 2012 movie page to watch this. Please be sure about this, they will not line up as some predict. Planets get closer at times but they never actually align. In 2000, Mars, Saturn, Mercury and Venus were withing 50 degrees of each other. In June 13, 2010 Uranus, Jupiter and Mercury will be on one side of the sun and Venus, Mars, and Saturn on the other side of the sun. It will be no big deal. In Sept 2040 Saturn, Venus, Jupiter and Mars will be closer than normal but no alignment. CLICK HERE to read a more technical explanation of this. It is helpful to note too that EVERY December there is an alignment of the Earth and Sun with the center of the Milky Way in the constellation of Sagittarius. But no bad things happen each year because of this and we shouldn't expect anything bad to happen on December. 21, 2012. All the fear talk about the planets lining up can be summed up in one word, "nonsense".]
Lets look at Planet X
The idea of Nibiru is traced back to Zecheriah Sitchin and his translations of Sumerian texts.and specifically to his interpretation of the VA 243 cylinder seal which he says shows that the Sumerians knew of 12 planets (minus the sun and the moon which they considered planets) and as such, this would mean there is another planet.
Sitchin’s interpretation of the seal is wrong. The Sumerians have an unambiguous symbol for the Sun: a circle with four triangles around it like rays, and squiggly lines between the triangles. That is emphatically not the symbol in the seal. The symbol used in the seal is that of a bright star, this symbol for stars is very commonly used, and this is the symbol we have in the seal so even Sitchin’s basic premise is wrong. for details on this and what the seal actually means see Dr. Michael Heiser paper The Myth of a 12th Planet: A Brief Analysis of Cylinder Seal VA 243 available at sitchin is wrong .com
Sitchin claims that the picture shows Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, but since the Sumerians didn’t have telescopes, they could therefore only have known of those planets had aliens told them of their existence. But if aliens told them about those planets, why did they fail to mention the moons of Jupiter and Saturn, or Saturn’s rings? The seal doesn’t show any of these features.
Also note that the Sumerians thought the Moon and Sun were planets, when they aren’t. Certainly aliens would know that the Sun and Moon are not planets! Sitchin is picking and choosing things in the picture to support his arguments and ignoring things that don’t support it like the inscription on the seal itself which has nothing do with his theory. This isn’t science, its fantasy. It’s also wrong. If Sitchin does know about a incoming planet he didn’t learn about it from this seal
Another argument against Planet X and its supposed 3,600 year orbit is the absence of any evidence for it.
For Planet X to be here in less than a decade, it can’t be farther than a billion or so kilometers away. Even at that distance, it would be one of the brightest objects in the sky. Even if it were too faint to be seen with the naked eye, remember, Pluto is 5 billion kilometers out, and although tiny, can be easily detected using modern equipment. Pluto is way smaller than Planet X is supposed to be.
There is simply no way a big planet so close to Earth could have escaped astronomers’ detection– even amateur astronomers.
Some will claim it is because it is hiding behind the sun and that’s why we can’t detect it. If it was behind the sun it would be moving at its fastest point considering its projected orbit and it would only be behind the sun for a very short time.
There are a lot of claims about planet X out there like that observatories are being closed to keep the information from the public which is not true at all, besides that fact that they would need to confiscate every telescope in the world to keep this secret hidden, also there have been postings of pictures and other so called evidence all of which have been shown to be a hoax.
There are actual pole shifts that do occur. Both magnetic pole shifts and physical pole shifts. We are in fact the middle of a long process of a magnetic pole shift, the biggest effect of which is that we will have to realign our compasses in a few hundred years, here is an excerpt from an article from NASA
Reversals take a few thousand years to complete, and during that time-contrary to popular belief-the magnetic field does not vanish. “It just gets more complicated,” says Glatzmaier. Magnetic lines of force near Earth’s surface become twisted and tangled, and magnetic poles pop up in unaccustomed places. A south magnetic pole might emerge over Africa, for instance, or a north pole over Tahiti. Weird. But it’s still a planetary magnetic field, and it still protects us from space radiation and solar storms.
And I might add that it is ridiculous to pinpoint a specific date such as Dec 21 2012 for this happening not just because it’s such a slow process but because the proposed reasons such as galactic alignment aren’t even true thus making it a non issue.
The other kind of pole shift is a physical pole shift.
Lets first set the record straight that this would require an event of tremendous energy and that it is not part of any cycle or natural occurrence and no increasing of solar energy would be enough to cause this.
We have actually had a few degree shift of the poles in the past, but not a reversal by any means. It is what is called a true polar wanderer.
William Sager in an article entitled Texas A&M Oceanographer Challenges Plate Tectonics As Reason For Poles’ Shift says “Our data set indicates that this polar shift took place at a rate between 5 and 10 degrees per million years,” he said. “Essentially it happens within the blink of an eye, in terms of geological time.”
What this is saying is that scientists who call this event fast, call 5-10 million years “fast” and that predicting a specific date for this to happen is ridiculous. As discussed earlier, that that claim the Mayans predicted the event using the understanding of precession fell into the same trap as the galactic center theory couldn’t have any less significance in the shifting of poles because the precession only changes our perception on the sky it doesn’t actually tell us where we are in the sky.
Mayan Calendar
Let’s take a look at what supposedly got this whole thing started the Mayan calendar.
The first question is did the Mayan long count calendar predict the end of the world? No. there is no reference to this idea in Mayan culture; these ideas are imposed by us and not the Mayans.
Even JMJ openly states, "I do not concur with the Neo-Atlantean pole-shift cataclysmologists on the idea that the world will literally end in 2012. With this distinction in mind, I admit that I still occasionally write, as a shorthand note, 'end-date' or 'end-date in 2012.' This does not mean that I believe the Maya calendar or the world will end in A.D. 2012." John Major Jenkins
Often times, video presentations covering these topics, be it a source such as the History Channel, a 2012 YouTube video, or even an internet article will make the jump from the resetting of the calendar to it must mean a major cataclysmic event in a very slick way usually not dwelling on this important transition.
Those that do mention the transition usually cite one of the following reasons to tie it together.
1.) That a Mayan ball game was actually symbolism that told us about galactic alignment2.) That certain pictorials of the sacred tree also speak of galactic alignment.
While I don’t agree with the logic used to make these connections, and believe them to be farfetched and in most cases frivolous, for the sake of the argument I will say that the Mayans did, for whatever reason choose to end their calendar on this 2012 solstice because of the visual effect of the sun rising in the galactic center on that date.
They fully knew of this effect, which again is only a visual one as viewed from earth. It would only be of local religious or mathematical significance, that is to say if the Mayans believed it was a symbol of rebirth when the sun appeared in the milky way galaxy it would be their prerogative, but it wouldn’t have any galactic merit. It would only make sense from the earth point of view. i would also suggest that this viewpoint of rebirth has undertones which I find disturbing because it seems that we are being taught to believe the same religion using fairly obvious deceptive techniques.
There is also this idea that it that they were able to miraculously determine these events, but it should be noted that western society discovered the precession of the equinoxes at least 100 years BEFORE the Mayans it wasn’t exactly a new concept the calculations to determine these events are not magical, but a matter of mathematics and astronomical observances. Their culture remained stable for centuries, And they kept records. So, it is entirely possible for an astronomer to plot the positions of some stars at midnight, at the equinox, and his grandson to plot the same stars 72years later and realize that the stars have all shifted one degree in that time. Multiply by 360, and you get the precession cycle of 26,000 years. Almost certainly, this is how they did it. Because that’s all it takes.
So were the Mayans predicting the end of the world …definitely not. ‘in fact the entire reason as far as I can tell for this hype is that the Mayans restart their calendar, much like we do on December 31st on a solstice. which they had the mathematical skill to do fairly easily.
We are the ones responsible for this 2012 fever we have put a lot of words in the Mayans mouths we have thrown pole shifts and planet x and solar flares and everything else into this mix all of which have no connections and not only weren’t suggested by the Mayans it would be impossible to predict any of these things using the any of the methods we are told they used to make such predictions.
[Reasons for "2012 fever"]
I think there could be many reasons why this idea is so actively being promoted to the world I encourage you to draw your own conclusions. However, while doing the research on this I think finally found why I think it’s being done, the following is my personal view, and it may be extreme if you don’t agree with it I encourage you not to throw the baby out with the bath water, because the 2012 theories are still wrong no matter what, if you don’t want to hear my analysis feel free to shut the video off at this point.
Many 2012 researchers are quick to point out how things will be getting much worse upon the approach to 2012 and we will see many cataclysms and earth changes on the way to our promised “enlightenment”.
I think that this has to be promoted as much as possible to people so that when they see these kinds of things happening in the next few years, which I agree will happen but for different reasons, everyone will try to endure these things thinking it’s a natural cycle never realizing the obvious fact, which is that The bible clearly prophesied what the days before the return of Jesus and so called birth pangs would look like and even why they were happening and what to do about it. This 2012 thing is both the proverbial carrot on a string which keeps us looking for our “illumination” while simultaneously gives us pride that we know that all these terrible things are a result of “science” thus there is no reason to pay attention to anything else.
I hear a lot of criticism of the bible, I’m not too impressed with most of them, but surprisingly the one that could really have an impact is never used, even by the fiercest critics.
Which is challenging the fact that the bible has never missed in regards to prophecy that is, it is 100% accurate and the Bible itself is full of prophecies almost 25% prophecy at and because of the Septuagint it can be demonstrated easily that it was written before the events it prophesied happened, these are not vague prophecies either, they all talking about specific kingdoms, people, places times, even names. all of which came true.

Nostradamus 2012

DID YOU KNOW...
Did you know that Nostradamus 2012 predictions only started coming to light AFTER talk of the world ending in 2012 and an ancient Mayan Calendar? Why did we not hear a clear interpretation of Nostradamus 2012 doomsday BEFORE all the doomsday talk?
Did you know too that the dates 21.12.12 or 12.21.12 are NOT found in Nostradamus writings?
Did you know that Nostradamus was believed to have predicted the earth would end by a comet strike in JULY 1999. Didn't happen!
Did you know that in a letter to his son, Nostradamus spoke of prophecies going as far into the future as 3786 (3797 according to some experts)? That's a long way past any connection between Nostradamus 2012 and the end of the world.

A lot of people are fascinated with what they believe are Nostradamus 2012 end of the world prophecies. However, not many look carefully enough into what he said to discover the truth about the so-called Nostradamus 2012 prophecies. The truth is that while he may have been a very clever man and respected by many, he was no prophet.
We invite you to check Nostradamus out for yourself in the article below. This will show you how impossible it is to connect Nostradamus 2012 and the end of the world. Once you understand his prophecies in general, you will understand the Nostradamus 2012 prophecies for what they really are - the veil will have been lifted.
To understand anything you read about Nostradamus 2012 predictions, you need to read this first. Once you have read this you will know the truth about Nostradamus and 2012.

2012 Bible Prophecy

One one occasion, Jesus followers asked him,
"Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"
This page has Jesus answer on 2012 Bible Prophecy.
Read it for yourself and see if the Bible says 2012 is the end of the world. Then check out this page SIGNS OF END TIMES and see how Bible prophecy is actually being fulfilled.

The End Of The World 2012 Bible Prophecy?
Recorded in Matthew 24(see if you can find 2012 in this prophecy from the Bible)

1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying,
Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation [race] shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe [Noah] were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh.
Did you find any 2012 Bible prophecy? There is no 2012 Bible Prophecy! Jesus said "of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." There is however on place in the Bible where the numbers 2012 are aligned with a biblical prophecy. CLICK HERE to read more."

2012 Doomsday Predictions - including Mayan Calendar 2012

There are many 2012 end of the world predictions. We will just identify a few.
1. There are theories about ALIENS FROM OUTER SPACE - but is this December 21 2012 end of the world idea a result of too much time sitting in front of the box and not enough actual facts? And how did they come up with this 2012 doomsday prediction about an alien invasion when there is no widely accepted proof that aliens even exist! This unlike, the next theme, does not deserve any serious attention.
2. What about the biblical PROPHECIES OF ARMAGEDDON - we have already had two world wars, will the world end with the ultimate war between good and evil in the year 2012? Biblical prophecies have been right before. One example is the birth of Christ which fulfilled about 300 prophecies. Before Armageddon comes however (and December 21 2012 is not predicted in the Bible as "Armageddon Day"), biblical prophecies speak of a great time of GREAT TRIBULATION on the earth. Having said that, the Bible not only prophecies about a battle of Armageddon on earth but also increased earthquakes, floods, famine, disease, wars and rumours of wars.
There will be things happening in the heavens far beyond our control. These are not 2012 end of the world doomsday predictions. But the Bible does say God will use cosmic events as means of his judgement on earth before the final day of judgement. If there is a dooms day, that's it. But before that day, Revelation 16:21 speaks of catastrophic disasters like 50 kilo hailstones. Matthew 24:29 says, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the SUN be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:" But while the Bible speaks of judgment on earth before the ultimate "day of judgement", it also speaks of hope and describes very clearly how to escape the coming wrath. This is not about escaping any 2012 end of the world doomsday prediction... but something more fearful!

3. Then there are stories surfacing about SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENTS along the lines of splitting the atom - will the earth be blown up by a mad scientist? Apparently there is an experiment on a very large scale planned for the year 2012. Could this bring about an end of the world 2012 doomsday? In a long very tunnel, particle physicists plan to collide electrons and positrons (the opposite of electrons). The tunnel may be up to 50km long and they will use energies of up to a trillion electron volts. This will hurl these particles at close to the speed of light. No one knows what will happen if antimatter is created. Could it destroy a delicate balance in the universe? Will December 21 2012 end of the world predictions be fulfilled through scientific a experiment? We don't think so.
4. On an ancient MAYAN CALENDAR 2012 is an IMPORTANT DATE The Mayan Calendar runs out on December 21 2012 and it has been suggested that they knew something we don't. This is the basis of what has been called the Mayan calendar 2012 Prophecy. However, just because an ancient Mayan calendar ends on December 21 2012 it does not mean that the world will end then too, especially as the Mayan's did not actually speak of a doomsday, much less a 2012 doomsday. True, on the Mayan Calendar 2012 was important and you can find out more about this by clicking the link below the next paragraph.

STRANGE MAYAN BELIEFS. While the Mayan's had some interesting beliefs and insights about life and the cosmos and while some of them reflect scientific observations today, there are other things you may not have heard of. For example, the Mayans also believed that our sun is a god powered by blood from human sacrifices - this and other beliefs were influenced by hallucinogenic drugs which were used, among other things for autosacrifices (yes, suicide). So be careful what you believe about Mayan calendars.

5. A very real possibility is DISEASE - we have seen how quickly it can spread and devastate human life on earth. And there has been talk of the threat of pandemics for several years now. Including the recent Swine Flu pandemic. But is it reasonable to say that the world will end this way on exactly December 21 2012 with an earth wide pandemic? No!
6. Will SOLAR FLARES bring about a December 21 2012 end of the world doomsday? Solar flares seem to come in cycles and NASA have said that the sun is due for a big one around 2012. How big and if it will really happen or bring about an end of the world 2012 doomsday are unknown. What we do know is that our life on earth is deeply affected by the activity of the sun. And as mentioned in the section above on Armageddon, the sun WILL play a role in end time biblical judgments on the earth. However, while solar flares and other solar activity may affect us more in 2012 than other years, no one can predict that solar activity will bring about the end of the world on December 21 2012 doomsday.

7. BIOLOGICAL WARFARE has been suggested as a means to earth's end. But again, how can one predict that a 2012 end of the world doomsday from this! Especially that biological weapons will end the world on exactly December 21 2012? The threat of biological warfare will always be here as long as we have insane and / or hateful world control freaks. However, biological warfare cannot be seriously considered as and end of the world 2012 doomsday prophecy, let alone the exact date of December 21 2012. This must be seen as scaremongering and not worthy of అత్తెన్తిఒన్
8. One prediction is of a GIANT METEOR OR ASTEROID. Meteors have struck the earth before. Could a giant meteor or comet bring about a 2012 end to the world doomsday? Some predict we are overdue for a strike and give 2012 as a possible date for a giant meteor strike on earth. The biggest threat NASA have identified is an asteroid named Apophis. However it is not coming on an end of the world December 21 2012 doomsday and is currently on a Level 0 on the Torino Scale. It will pass close in 2029 with a probability for impact on April 13, 2036 calculated at 1 in 45,000. Asteroid threats still remain. Worth thinking about is Bible prophecy about 50 kilo hail stones and stars falling the sky, but not in 2012. CLICK HERE for more on this.
9. Others believe that a PLANET X: NIBIRU, two thirds earth's size, will pass through our solar system around 2012 causing polar axis shifts on earth. A process, if it actually happens, that would apparently take up to 5,000 years! So, Nibiru or Planet X will not be bringing about a 2012 end of the world doomsday. And definitely not on December 21 2012. To find out why Nibiru actually doesn't actually exist, CLICK HERE (text version) or CLICK HERE to watch a video about Nibiru.
10. Planet X has also been linked to some VAGUE prophecies (or quatrains). Some say that for NOSTRADAMUS 2012 end of the world predictions are true. However, more than once Nostradamus predictions have been "tweaked" to fit with world catastrophes. Nostradamus was a clever man but was he also a prophet? NINE 2012 PREDICTIONS

Is the world going to end in 2012 - December 21 2012?
IS IT TRUE?
CAN YOU BELIEVE THE DECEMBER 21 2012 DOOMSDAY PREDICTIONS?
END OF THE WORLD 2012!

HOW SERIOUSLY should you take the talk about an end of the world 2012 doomsday?
There are a number of December 21 2012 predictions about the end of the world, earth as we know it. Some say that on an ancient Mayan calendar 2012 points to the end of the world: they pick December 21 2012 as the exact day as that is when the calender ends. Others speak of a Nostradamus 2012 doomsday prediction.
Some 2012 end of the world predictions are connect to each other, some are not. It has got to the point where the thought of a 2012 end of the world doomsday is freaking some people out. Should you be freaked? We don't think so. For starters, given past doomsday predictions and prophecies about the end of the world, earth should have ended by now! Since the earth is still here, it would be fair to say then that, to date, all doomsday prophecies and predictions about the end of the world (before 2012) have failed!

However, a WORD of CAUTION. Just because the earth has survived various doomsday predictions so far, does not guarantee it will still be here in the year 2012, or tomorrow for that matter? Any known threat should be taken seriously. We are a vulnerable planet. The "Greenies" make some good points about the vulnerability of our ecosystem. While we do not believe any 2012 end of the world doomsday predictions will happen, we recognise that there are a lot of stupid, power hungry people who make the earth vulnerable to a doomsday. But not a 2012 end of the world doomsday!
It is a known fact that we have enough nuclear weapons (weapons of mass destruction) to destroy the world... many times over! And they say we're evolving!! Will the end of the world come on December 21 2012 because of this? All it would take is one lunatic to push the button! Result: end of the world by nuclear war. But is this really an end of the world 2012 doomsday prediction?

if you put these known facts aside and ignore them for a moment, is it really possible that some end of the world 2012 doomsday prediction or 2012 apocalypse could destroy the earth? The year 2012 is just about upon us. Now is a good time to ask if there are any 2012 end of the world predictions that you can actually believe?
One thing is for sure: past prophecies about the end of the world that do not come true are NO guarantee that other prophecies and predictions will not come true - but will something happen to bring about a 2012 end of the world doomsday for planet earth, on exactly December 21 2012? While we don't think so, its still not wrong to ask the question.
One end of the world 2012 prophecy (or what is sometimes presented as a prophecy) which is getting serious headlines right now concerns an ancient MAYAN CALENDAR which strangely ends on December 21 2012. Many 2012 end of the world predictions have been linked to this.

The Birth of a Star

As I write this, somewhere far away, a star is about to be born. It is out there in the Milky Way, pulsating, vibrant and pulling in matter from a surrounding envelope of gas and dust. It is emitting a thin ray of light, which many find strange.

Astronomers across the globe are waiting and watching what this new object which they are fondly calling L1448-IRS2E. Wonder what it has in store for us.
What makes L1448-IRS2E special? Astronomers have over the years studied the formation of stars. The phases through which L1448-IRS2E is evolving now will provide them more insight into the life and development cycle of a star.

Why is it in the news? Astronomers from Yale University, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Germany – found the object using the Submillimeter Array in Hawaii and the Spitzer Space Telescope. Their research was published in the latest issue of the Astrophysical Journal. And it has started off the buzz which normally surrounds the birth of a star. Read more about L1448-IRS2E.
So, that brings us to the question of how the stars are formed. You can read all about how a star is formed here and see this YouTube video to better understand this celestial phenomenon

Sri Kalahasti Temple "Raja Gopuram" collapses Video

Foundation Devastated Over Collapse of Sri Kalahasti Temple Tower

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEwnPAdYZx4

The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) reacted with shock at the May 26th collapse of a tower of the famous Sri Kalahasti temple near Tirupati in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The temple, a place of great historical significance, was a revered place of worship for millions of Hindus. Leaders also extended condolences to the families of the victims of the devastating collapse.
Contrary to several media reports citing King Krishnadevaraya of the Vijayanagar empire as having built the temple, Krishnadevaraya built only the now collapsed tower in 1516 CE, bringing the temple to its current form. Evidence reveals the temple to have been constructed much earlier. Historical literary references to the temple are found in the works of Nakkeerar, a Tamil poet in 3rd Century BCE during the Tamil Sangam period, who called it the "Southern Kailash." And inscriptions in the temple, as well as the architecture, also indicate that the Chola, Pallava, Pandya and Vijayanagar dynasties had all contributed to the temple over the centuries. The temple had also been visited by a number of the prominent saints throughout Hindu history, including Sri Adi Shankaracharya and the four most well known among the Nayanars as well as the 63 Tamil Saivite saints who lived during the 3rd to 8th centuries CE.
"It is tragic that what would be considered a national monument in any other country was simply allowed to collapse in this manner as a result of the callous disregard of Andhra Pradesh State Government officials," said Padma Kuppa, a member of HAF's Executive Council and a native of the state of Andhra Pradesh. "That nothing was done about the cracks in the tower, which were first reported over a decade ago, at worst speaks to incompetence, and indeed corruption, of those responsible for preserving India's heritage." Most recent media reports indicate that the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has promised to reconstruct the collapsed tower with the help of the Archeological Survey of India.
HAF leaders held that this latest tragedy highlighted again the unique challenges Hindus face in India as the only faith community whose places of worship are often under financial and management control by ostensibly secular state governments in India. Andhra Pradesh as well as many other state governments administer and manage most major Hindu temples in India today.
"It is ridiculous that governments, sometimes run by the Communist Party of India in states such as Kerala and West Bengal, arrogate unto themselves the right to manage temple affairs including the conduct of religious rituals," said Swaminathan Venkataraman, a member of HAF's Board of Directors. "The fact that only Hindu institutions are subject to such treatment while churches and mosques are not makes a mockery of Indian secularism."
HAF reported urgent pleas from its members over the last week calling for state governments in India to entrust Hindu temples to reputable and well-organized Hindu religious organizations, including the Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha, to provide Hindus the same opportunities for autonomous management enjoyed by other faith traditions.
"Hindu Americans today would like to preserve historically significant sites, not only for their own pilgrimages (thirthas) to Hindu holy sites, but also for future generations," Venkataraman added.
The Hindu American Foundation is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, non-partisan organization promoting the Hindu and American ideals of understanding, tolerance and pluralism.

London 2012 may become ‘Crime Olympics’

London, Feb. 23 (ANI): British gangsters are planning to leave their mark on the London Olympics in 2012, and turning it into “Crime Olympics”.
Mobsters are reportedly looking forward to the 93 billion pounds event, and are already lining up a series of money making scams, the Daily Star reports.
The villains include fraudsters selling dodgy merchandise, counterfeiters flogging fake tickets and cyber crooks using fake websites to solicit cash and steal identities.
Other schemers could include are people traffickers hoping to infiltrate the 50,000-strong Olympic workforce using illegal labourers, and protection racketeers who may target construction firms and possibly even the athletes themselves.
Security agencies have already shut down a number of bogus websites that have been conning people in search of work, tickets or souvenirs.
The fear of criminalizing the event has prompted a 600 million pound security arrangement to safeguard the biggest sporting event to hit UK shores.
Britain’s version of the FBI, the Serious Organised Crime Agency, has warned criminals from trying to cause threat to the Games.
The agency states: “The Olympic and Paralympic Games will present serious organised criminals with many opportunities.
“Fraud, organised immigration crimes, intellectual property crimes and money-laundering are likely to be the main threats beginning now and extending through the period of the Games and beyond,” it further states.
The agency has also warned that extortion gangs may target construction firms working on stadia and the Olympic village.
The agency stated: “The movements of increased numbers of people into and out of the UK will provide smugglers with cover for their activities, while visitors to the games are likely targets for organised fraud.” (ANI)

Solar Storm Warning

March 10, 2006: It's official: Solar minimum has arrived. Sunspots have all but vanished. Solar flares are nonexistent. The sun is utterly quiet.
Like the quiet before a storm.
This week researchers announced that a storm is coming--the most intense solar maximum in fifty years. The prediction comes from a team led by Mausumi Dikpati of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). "The next sunspot cycle will be 30% to 50% stronger than the previous one," she says. If correct, the years ahead could produce a burst of solar activity second only to the historic Solar Max of 1958.

beginning: Sputnik was launched in Oct. 1957 and Explorer 1 (the first US satellite) in Jan. 1958. In 1958 you couldn't tell that a solar storm was underway by looking at the bars on your cell phone; cell phones didn't exist. Even so, people knew something big was happening when Northern Lights were sighted three times in Mexico. A similar maximum now would be noticed by its effect on cell phones, GPS, weather satellites and many other modern technologies.
Right: Intense auroras over Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1958. [More]
Dikpati's prediction is unprecedented. In nearly-two centuries since the 11-year sunspot cycle was discovered, scientists have struggled to predict the size of future maxima—and failed. Solar maxima can be intense, as in 1958, or barely detectable, as in 1805, obeying no obvious pattern.
The key to the mystery, Dikpati realized years ago, is a conveyor belt on the sun.
We have something similar here on Earth—the Great Ocean Conveyor Belt, popularized in the sci-fi movie The Day After Tomorrow. It is a network of currents that carry water and heat from ocean to ocean--see the diagram below. In the movie, the Conveyor Belt stopped and threw the world's weather into chaos.

The sun's conveyor belt is a current, not of water, but of electrically-conducting gas. It flows in a loop from the sun's equator to the poles and back again. Just as the Great Ocean Conveyor Belt controls weather on Earth, this solar conveyor belt controls weather on the sun. Specifically, it controls the sunspot cycle.
Solar physicist David Hathaway of the National Space Science & Technology Center (NSSTC) explains: "First, remember what sunspots are--tangled knots of magnetism generated by the sun's inner dynamo. A typical sunspot exists for just a few weeks. Then it decays, leaving behind a 'corpse' of weak magnetic fields."

The top of the conveyor belt skims the surface of the sun, sweeping up the magnetic fields of old, dead sunspots. The 'corpses' are dragged down at the poles to a depth of 200,000 km where the sun's magnetic dynamo can amplify them. Once the corpses (magnetic knots) are reincarnated (amplified), they become buoyant and float back to the surface." Presto—new sunspots!
Right: The sun's "great conveyor belt." [Larger image]
All this happens with massive slowness. "It takes about 40 years for the belt to complete one loop," says Hathaway. The speed varies "anywhere from a 50-year pace (slow) to a 30-year pace (fast)."
When the belt is turning "fast," it means that lots of magnetic fields are being swept up, and that a future sunspot cycle is going to be intense. This is a basis for forecasting: "The belt was turning fast in 1986-1996," says Hathaway. "Old magnetic fields swept up then should re-appear as big sunspots in 2010-2011."
Like most experts in the field, Hathaway has confidence in the conveyor belt model and agrees with Dikpati that the next solar maximum should be a doozy. But he disagrees with one point. Dikpati's forecast puts Solar Max at 2012. Hathaway believes it will arrive sooner, in 2010 or 2011.
"History shows that big sunspot cycles 'ramp up' faster than small ones," he says. "I expect to see the first sunspots of the next cycle appear in late 2006 or 2007—and Solar Max to be underway by 2010 or 2011."
Who's right? Time will tell. Either way, a storm is coming.

NASA Announces 2012 Destruction Probable

NASA recently published report detailing new magnetism on the Sun that will probably result in Major Solar Changes and destruction of satellite communications, GPS, Air Traffic, and Power Grids.
The report is published on HERE and clearly states that a new Solar Cycle is possible resulting from a knot of magnetism that popped over the sun's eastern limb on Dec. 11th 2007.
The report goes on to mention specific years which major Earthly impact will be seen. The exact quote which mentions these years states
"Many forecasters believe Solar Cycle 24 will be big and intense. Peaking in 2011 or 2012, the cycle to come could have significant impacts on telecommunications, air traffic, power grids and GPS systems. (And don't forget the Northern Lights!) In this age of satellites and cell phones, the next solar cycle could make itself felt as never before."
I find it quite a coincidence that this major happening is forecasted for 2012, as this exact timing correlates to the ancient Mayan prediction of the end of the dimension.
The 2012 (End Of The World) theory has been gaining much popularity the last few years. Some predictions include a great human consciousness awakening, the rise of the anti-christ, alien visitation and attacks, a polar flip, and a great alignment in which the Sun will line up with the center of the galaxy causing massive destruction.
Although we are not sure of the exact events that will transpire, the evidence is becoming clear that something is in store for us Earthlings.
Many people are starting to prepare both physically and mentally for the upcoming changes, but as of now, trustworthy guides on exact preparation plans are scarce. As this situation winds down, and we get closer to the predicted final year, we can only hope more information becomes available to us.
Update: Our newest Isochronic Recordings use equal intensity tone that pulsate. The frequency pulsing recordings will instantly put you in an altered state of consciousness where you can develop spiritual abilities, reach new planes of existence, and so much more.. This newest technology will blow your mind. Full information is available at The Unexplainable Store.
Wondering how it works? We have a video demonstration of each technology being played through a frequency spectrum analyzer. You can actually see the wave-forms. You can Watch The Video Here. Make sure to check out each category for a full description of each recording.

World not ending in 20012

World not ending in 2012, says NASA

Contrary to what you may read on the Internet, the world is not going to end in 2012. A rogue planet named Nibiru is not on a collision course with Earth. And a solar flare won't toast the planet.
It's all fiction, though the makers of the film "2012" may lead you to think otherwise.
"I don't have anything against the movie. It's the way it's been marketed and the way it exploits people's fears," NASA scientist David Morrison at the Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif., told Discovery News.

Morrison has launched a counter-attack through his "Ask An Astrobiologist" online column, which he says has gotten more than 1,000 questions about the end of the world.
Scientific misinformation about 2012 has been ramping up for a few years, with more than 200 books and 1,000 Web sites purporting to explain various doomsday scenarios. Sony Pictures is behind a particularly viral campaign to build publicity for its upcoming apocalyptic movie "2012," which debuts on Nov. 13.
The company has set up an interlinked family of Web sites and Facebook pages to infuse a sense of reality to its fictional work.
The lead character in the film, played by actor John Cusack, for example, is the faux author of a faux book about a murder, conspiracy and disaster aboard the space shuttle Atlantis, which, coincidentally, is poised for launch on a space station construction mission the weekend the movie debuts.
The fictional fiction, named "Farewell, Atlantis," has a Web site, a Facebook page to follow "author appearances," fans and friends, a faux publisher with a faux Web site, a faux press release and endorsements from the very real son of the late Carl Sagan.
There's also a fake institute that presumably dispenses "real" science supporting the movie's claims, as well as a fake news website that distributes fake press releases about a fake aerospace company winning government contracts.
Warren Betts, owner of a California-based publicity firm that peddles real science stories tied to movies, says the type of marketing campaign Sony is executing for "2012" is nothing new.
"It's been done before," said Betts, citing the 1999 horror movie "The Blair Witch Project," a story about a group of amateur documentary film-makers who have a really bad couple of days in the woods.

Will the world actually end in 20012

According to the Mayan calendar, the world will end at the conclusion of their astronomical cycle, on December 21, 2012. However, this has no basis in fact.

-------------

Eventually, yes. Assuming Earth is spared a major impact from an asteroid or comet, the Sun will eventually swell to the point where it engulfs the inner planets. This will likely happen in about 5 to 6 billion years.

-----------

And as with everything else, Proton decay dictates that all matter is slowly breaking down. Absolutely nothing is without end.

--------------

The Scriptures say at the very end, the Earth will burn with fervent heat and be rolled up like a scroll. There is an end for this Earth as we know it. There is more beyond as we will have immortal bodies as promised by Christ through the resurrection. The Bible tells of glories established : one of the Sun " those who dwell with God, Jesus Christ and The Holy Ghost " ; one of the Moon "those who dwell with Jesus and the Holy Ghost; one of the stars " those who dwell with only the Holy Ghost."

--------------

There will be and end and a judgment of all who have dwelt on this earth. But an opportunity to Dwell with God the Father, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Ghost. We choose that's why we are here.
A more thorough Biblical examination:After saying the world in Noah's day suffered destruction, the Bible account continues: "By the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire." (2 Peter 3:7) Indeed, as another Bible writer explains: "The world [the one existing today] is passing away."1 John 2:17.The Bible does not mean that the literal earth or the starry heavens will pass away, even as these did not pass away in Noah's day. (Psalm 104:5) Rather, this world, with its "heavens," or governmental rulers under the influence of Satan, and its "earth," or human society, will be destroyed as if by fire. (John 14:30; 2 Corinthians 4:4) This world, or system of things, will perish just as surely as did the world before the Flood. Even Jesus Christ spoke about the situation in "the days of Noah" as an example of what would happen just prior to the end of this world.Matthew 24:37-39.Significantly, when Jesus spoke of the days of Noah, it was in answer to his apostles' question: "What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" (Matthew 24:3, King James Version) Jesus' followers knew that this world would end. Did this prospect frighten them?On the contrary, when Jesus described events that would occur prior to the world's end, he encouraged them to rejoice 'because their deliverance was getting near.' (Luke 21:28) Yes, deliverance from Satan and his wicked system of things into a peaceful new world!2 Peter 3:13.But when will this world end? What "sign" did Jesus give of his "coming, and of the end of the world"?"The Sign" The Greek word here translated "coming" is parousi'a, and it means "presence," that is, actually being on hand. So when "the sign" is seen, it would not mean Christ was soon to come but that he had already returned and was present. It would mean that he had begun ruling invisibly as a heavenly king and that he would soon bring an end to his enemies.Revelation 12:7-12; Psalm 110:1, 2.Jesus did not give just one event as "the sign." He described many world events and situations. All of these would take place during the time that Bible writers called "the last days." (2 Timothy 3:1-5; 2 Peter 3:3, 4) Consider some of the things that Jesus foretold would mark "the last days.""Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom." (Matthew 24:7) War in modern times has been of greater magnitude than ever before. One historian noted: "The First World War [beginning in 1914] was the first 'total' war." Yet, the second world war was much more destructive. And war continues to ravage the earth. Yes, Jesus' words have undergone fulfillment in a dramatic way!"There will be food shortages." (Matthew 24:7) Following World War I came perhaps the greatest famine in all history. Terrible famine also followed World War II. A scourge of malnutrition affects up to one fifth of earth's population, killing some 14 million children every year. Truly, there have been "food shortages"!"There will be great earthquakes." (Luke 21:11) On the average, about ten times as many have died each year from earthquakes since 1914 as in previous centuries. Consider only a few major ones: 1920, China, 200,000 killed; 1923, Japan, 99,300 casualties; 1939, Turkey, 32,700 fatalities; 1970, Peru, 66,800 killed; and 1976, China, about 240,000 (or, according to some sources, 800,000) casualties. Surely, "great earthquakes"!"In one place after another pestilences." (Luke 21:11) Right after World War I, some 21 million people died of the Spanish flu. Science Digest reported: "In all history there had been no sterner, swifter visitation of death." Since then, heart disease, cancer, AIDS, and many other plagues have killed hundreds of millions."Increasing of lawlessness." (Matthew 24:12) Our world since 1914 has become known as one of crime and violence. In many places no one feels safe on the streets even during the daytime. At night people stay in their homes behind locked and barricaded doors, afraid to go outside. Many other things were foretold to occur during the last days, and all of these also are being fulfilled. This means the end of the world is near. But, happily, there will be survivors. After saying "the world is passing away," the Bible promises: "He that does the will of God remains forever."1 John 2:17.So we need to learn God's will and do it. Then we can survive this world's end to enjoy eternally the blessings of God's new world. The Bible promises that at that time: "God . . . will wipe out every tear from [people's] eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore."Revelation 21:3, 4.

Maya Calendar End of the World December 21 2012

Will the world end in 2012? No, it won't.
Will there be a major cataclysm in 2012? Quite possibly.
Although this book concentrates on a potential global catastrophe at a random date within our immediate future, the ancient Mayan Long Count calendar is a powerful argument for that date being Dec 21, 2012.
2. The Mayan Calendar
The Maya
The Maya civilisation inhabited a region encompassing southern Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize & western Honduras, and flourished between the third and tenth centuries AD, but by 1200 AD their society had collapsed for reasons we can only guess at. When the Spanish conquistadors arrived, descendants still occupied the area, and still spoke the Mayan language, but were unaware of the cities their forefathers had created.
It wasn't until the late 18th century that explorers first investigated the dense Guatemalan rainforest and came across plazas, monoliths, temples and pyramids, each decorated with pictures and hieroglyphs. The ancient Maya had been keeping historical records - using a script which mixed ideographic and phonetic elements. Some of their writing still exists on stelae (stone monuments) that recount civil events and record their calendric and astronomical knowledge.
Spanish Conquest
Diego de Landa was a Spanish priest who visited Mexico on a charitable mission, became the Franciscan provincial of Yucatán in 1561 and is infamous for his destruction of priceless Maya documents and artefacts.
Although Landa was very interested in the Mayan culture, he abhorred certain aspects of their practices, particularly human sacrifice. In July 1562, when evidence of human sacrifice was found in a cave containing sacred Maya statues, a bout of religious self-righteousness saw Landa order the destruction of five thousand idols. He decided that their books were also the devil's work and saw to it that they were burned, with only three books surviving. Consequently the majority of Mayan knowledge and history was lost.
Yet despite his actions, we are also indebted to Landa for his acute and intelligent opus on Mayan life and religion, Relación de las cosas de Yucatán (1566), which remains the classical text on Mayan civilisation. This book, which was not printed until 1864, provided a phonetic alphabet that made it possible to decipher roughly one-third of the remaining Mayan hieroglyphs.
The most important of the surviving books was what is now called the Dresden Codex, named after the city where it was lodged. It is a strange book, inscribed with hieroglyphs, which no one understood until 1880. At that time Ernst FØrstemann, a German scholar who worked at the same Dresden library, managed to crack the code of the Mayan calendar making it possible for other academics to translate the many dated inscriptions found on buildings, stelae and other ancient Mayan artefacts.
He discovered that the Codex contained detailed astrological tables, which calculated the year to be 365.2420 days long, more accurate than the Julian calendar that we use today. The tables were used exclusively by the Mayan astronomers to predict the solstices and equinoxes, the path of the planets in our solar system, the cycles of Venus and Mars, and other celestial phenomena.
Other information we have today has been gleaned from the Popol Vuh and Chilam Balam - books written just after the Spanish arrived. The knowledge found in these books and codices, combined with the uncovering of mysterious pyramids, demonstrate that the Maya had knowledge to rival the Greeks and Egyptians.
Mayan Calendar
The life of the Maya revolved around the concept of time. Priests were consulted on civil, agricultural and religious matters, and their advice would be derived from readings of the sacred calendars. Time was of such importance that children were even named after the date on which they were born.
Maya math uses only three symbols - a shell-shaped glyph for zero, a dot for one and a bar for five to represent units from zero to 19. For instance, the number 13 was represented as three dots and two bars.
Zero was an advanced concept in those days, something that the Romans were not aware of. Yet the Maya were comfortable enough with it to use a shell as its symbol, a tangible object representing an abstract concept. The Maya also used metrical calculation and place numeration, which were very clever for a culture that didn't use the wheel!
Although they had many calendars, they marked the passage of time with three cycles that ran in parallel.
The first is the scared calendar known as the Tzolkin. It combines the numbers from 1 through 13 with a sequence of 20 day-names. It works in a similar manner to our named days of the week, and their date within each month. So you might have 5-Chikchan (like our Sunday the 5th) followed by 6-Kimi (as we would have Monday the 6th). After 260 days the same number/name combination will re-occur, and the calendar starts anew. Their use of the vigesimal (base 20) numbering system probably relates to fingers and toes, whereas the 13 nicely fits the growth phase of the moon which isn't visible when new and appears full for two days on end, thus appearing to have a 13 day growth cycle. Alternatively, the length of the Tzolkin may be related to the human gestation period of nine months (273 days). It has been suggested that 260 days is the time between a woman suspecting her pregnancy (she doesn't menstruate) and when she gives birth.
The second is the agricultural calendar known as the Haab, or vague year. It consists of 18 months, each of 20 days. An addition of a five-day month (a period of apprehension and bad luck named Uayeb) gives us 365 days, an approximation of a year. This calendar's primary purpose was to keep track of the seasons, for seasonal and solar events would occur on roughly the same day of each year. The Maya were aware of the annual quarter day discrepancy, but it is not known if they ever did anything about it.
These two independently running calendars each begin again every 260 and 360+5 days. However, every 52 years they coincide:
"The Tzolkin and the Haab ran concurrently, like intermeshed cog-wheels, and to return to any given date, 52 years, or 18,980 days, would have to elapse (because both 365 x 52 and 260 x 73 = 18,980). In other words, the Tzolkin would make 73 revolutions and the Haab 52, so that every 52 calendar years of 365 days one would return to the same date. A complete date in this 52-year cycle might be, for example, 2 1k 0 Pop (2 1k being the position of the day in the Tzolkin, 0 Pop the position in the Haab). Fifty-two years would pass before another 2 1k 0 Pop date returned.
It was expected that the world would end at the completion of a 52-year cycle. At this time, among the Mexica in the Valley of Mexico, all fires were extinguished, pregnant women were locked up lest they be turned into wild animals, children were pinched to keep them awake so that they would not turn into mice, and all pottery was broken in preparation for the end of the world. In the event the gods decided to grant man another 52 years of life on earth, however, a night time ceremony was held in which the populace followed the priests through the darkness over a causeway to the top of an old extinct volcano that rises abruptly from the floor of the basin of Mexico, known today as the Hill of the Star, the hill above Ixtapalapa. There, with all eyes on the stars, they awaited the passage of the Pleiades across the center of the heavens, which would announce the continuation of the world for another 52 years. When the precise moment came, a victim was quickly sacrificed by making a single gash in his chest and extracting the still palpitating heart. In the gory cavity the priests, with a fire drill, kindled a new flame that was quickly carried by torches across the lake to the temple in Tenochititlan, and from there to all temples and villages around the lake. This was known as the New Fire Ceremony among the Mexica, and in some way this same completion and renewal of each 52-year cycle was recognized by all Mesoamericans."[i]
This is not unlike how the end of the last millennium may have felt for many Christians or doomsday cult followers.
Our modern Western calendar was first introduced in Europe in 1582. It was based upon the Gregorian calendar, which calculated the Earth's orbit to take 365.25 days. This was 0.0003 of a day per year too much, but still exceptionally accurate for scientists living over 400 years ago.
The Mayan calendars were derived from those of their predecessors, the Olmec, whose culture dates back at least 3,000 years. Without the instruments of 16th century Europe, these Central American locals managed to calculate a solar year of 365.2420 days, just 0.0002 of a day short. More accurate than the Europeans, and much earlier. It is not known if the Olmecs created the Long Count calendar, or if they received it from an even earlier civilisation...
The Long Count
A Mayan date utilises three calendars. The third calendar, known as the "long count", is a continuous record of days that starts over every 5000 years or so. The current Long Count began in 3114 BC. And it will end very soon.
A typical Mayan date looks like this:
12.18.16.2.6, 3 Cimi 4 Zotz
4 Zotz is the Haab date.
3 Cimi is the Tzolkin date.
12.18.16.2.6 is the Long Count date.
The basic unit is the kin (day), which is the last component of the Long Count. Going from right to left the remaining components are:
unial........1 unial = 20 kin = 20 days
tun..........1 tun = 18 unial = 360 days = approx. 1 year
katun.......1 katun = 20 tun = 7,200 days = approx. 20 years
baktun.....1 baktun = 20 katun = 144,000 days = approx. 394 years
The kin, tun, and katun are numbered from 0 to 19.
The unial are numbered from 0 to 17.
The baktun are numbered from 1 to 13.
The Long Count is a great cycle of 13 baktuns (roughly 5,126 years), where the use of 13 may again represent the growth of the moon from new to full. The current cycle began on 13.0.0.0.0 4 Ahau 8 Cumku which correlates to Aug. 13, 3114 BC.
In Mayan mythology each Long Count cycle is a world age in which the gods attempt to create pious and subservient creatures.
The First Age began with the creation of the Earth, and it had upon it vegetation and living beings. Unfortunately, because they lacked speech, the birds and animals were unable to pay homage to the gods and were destroyed. In the Second and Third Ages the gods created humans of mud and then wood, but these also failed to please and were wiped out. We are currently in the Fourth and Final Age, the age of the modern, fully functional human. Is it possible that these Ages referred to evolutionary change? If they did, then what might occur when the current age finishes on December 21, 2012?

Note on massive spans of time
Although they are not part of the Long Count, the Mayas had calculated larger time spans, some so long that only modern day scientists would ever use them, and suggesting that perhaps the ancient Maya were aware of something we have yet to discover for ourselves.
1 pictun = 20 baktun = 2,880,000 days = approx. 7885 years
1 calabtun = 20 pictun = 57,600,000 days = approx. 158,000 years
1 kinchiltun = 20 calabtun = 1,152,000,000 days = approx. 3 million years
1 alautun = 20 kinchiltun = 23,040,000,000 days = approx. 63 million yearsNote on Correlation
This book uses a correlation between the Gregorian and Maya calendars known as the Goodman-Martinez-Thompson (GMT) correlation, which places the long count katun ending 11.16.0.0.0 13 Ahau 8 Xul on 14 November 1539 (Gregorian). Another less popular correlation has the Long Count ending two days later on Dec 23, 2012, and for our purposes makes a negligible difference. A further 50 or more different correlations have been calculated; some by non-academics, usually based on disputing which similar astronomical events occurred in which year. The GMT is generally accepted by academics because it has been proven with carbon dating, and because it is still in use by modern day Quich¾ Maya

What will happen on December 22, 2012?

SCIENTIFIC EXPERTS from around the world are predicting that five years from now, all life on Earth could well come to an end. Some are saying it’ll be humans that would set it off. Others believe that a natural phenomenon will be the cause. And the religious folks are saying it’ll be God himself who would press the stop button. The following are some likely arguments as to why the world would end by the year 2012.
Reason one: Mayan calendar

The first to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things -- building highly accurate astrological equipment out of stone and sacrificing virgins.

Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it’s likely they’ve got the end of the world right as well.
Reason two: Sun storms

Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery. Our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic and it’s supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the earth with lot of radiation energy. It’s been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse and calculations suggest it’ll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012.
Reason three: The atom smasher

Scientists in Europe have been building the world’s largest particle accelerator. Basically, its a 27 km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it’s properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They’re predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.
Reason four: The Bible says it

If having scientists warning us about the end of the world isn’t bad enough, religious folks are getting in on the act as well. Interpretations of the Christian Bible reveal that the date for Armageddon, the final battle between good an evil, has been set for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese Book of Changes, says the same thing, as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.

Reason five: Super volcano

Yellowstone National Park in United States is famous for its thermal springs and old faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple -- it’s sitting on top of the world’s biggest volcano and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we’re many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.

Reason six: The physicists

This one’s case of bog -- simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berkely University have been crunching the numbers. They’ve determined that the earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, they’re claiming that their calculations prove that we’re all going to die, very soon. They are also saying that their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 per cent; and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.
Reason seven: Earth’s magnetic field

We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that shields us from most of the sun’s radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call North and South have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so -- and right now we’re about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30 kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is under way, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches.
